Scientists just turned LIGHT into MATTER.
Not metaphorically.

In an experiment at Brookhaven National Laboratory, physicists collided extremely energetic particles of light – photons.
The result?
They created matter.

An electron and its antimatter partner, a positron, suddenly appeared from pure energy.
This is the first clear laboratory realization of something predicted in 1934 by physicists Gregory Breit and John Wheeler.
And it perfectly demonstrates Einstein’s famous equation:
