Travis Kelce Gives Adorable Nod to Fiancée Taylor Swift Moments Before Signing His New Chiefs Contract: ‘Hey Sweetie’

Travis Kelce has Taylor Swift on his mind.

Moments away from signing a one-year, $12M contract with the Kansas City Chiefs, the star tight end, 36, made a sweet mention of his fiancée, also 36, as he walked through the halls of Arrowhead Stadium

In a video of the big day on Monday, March 23, the Chiefs filmed Kelce says, “Home sweet home!” as he strolls by framed photos of big concerts held at Arrowhead — including one of Swift from her Eras Tour performance at the stadium.

At her photo, Kelce adorably turns and waves to Swift, appearing to mouth, “Hey sweetie, how are you?”

The video continues with Kelce giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at his signing day, including a surprise shoutout from his teammate, Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs quarterback calls him via FaceTime, and shares an amped-up message in support.

“Congrats man,” Mahomes tells an excited Kelce, who then shows off his facial hair in the video. “With the beard too?” Mahomes jokes, adding, “I just wanted to call to say congratulations. I know you’ve got stuff going on.”

Elsewhere in the clip, the three-time Super Bowl champion made clear that he’s thrilled to be back and get to work next season now that his decision to return to the NFL for a 14th season is finalized.

“It’s exciting times and I’m just ready to get back into the team uniform,” Kelce says.

The Chiefs spent Monday celebrating Kelce’s return with several photo carousels and videos, including one where the tight end gave a shoutout to fans.

“Chiefs Kingdom, let’s go baby, it’s official! Excited for 2026 and just excited to put on a Chiefs uniform in front of you guys again,” he said in the clip posted to the team’s Instagram account, before sharing a request for the fans: “Let’s get Arrowhead rocking baby.”

He concluded, “We’ll see you guys in a few months.”

Prior to officially inking his new deal with the Chiefs, Kelce — who is also busy planning a wedding with Swift — revealed that his fiancée played a role in his decision to return to the NFL during an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on March 10.

“We share the same love for what we do, and we’ve had this…desire,” said Kelce on the show. “I’m still in love with this game… I still love going to work, putting on the pads, grinding it out and just playing the game, you know.”

“And I think my best opportunity was playing for the Chiefs yet again and running this thing back with Pat Mahomes and Coach Reid,” he continued. “And got my guy Eric Bieniemy, Coach Bieniemy back, and there’s a lot of pieces in Kansas City that I just I absolutely love.”

He concluded, “I can’t wait to get back in the building.”
