“Triplets Miraculously Survive After Being Born 15 Weeks Premature
Max, Harvey, and Lucas Udell — three baby boys from Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England — have defied the odds after being born 15 weeks premature and surviving against all expectations.
According to reports, their case is one of the rare instances in the UK where triplets born so early have gone on to survive in good health.
The boys are the first children of Rachel, 31, and her husband Ashley, 29, who had been married for two years before welcoming their babies.

Throughout her pregnancy, Rachel attended regular weekly ultrasounds and noticed no major issues until she suddenly began experiencing pelvic pain. She was initially taken to a hospital in Bath, Somerset, and discharged the same day. However, when the pain didn’t subside, her family brought her back to the hospital the following day.
At that point, doctors recognized signs of labor and advised an emergency cesarean section.
Medical records show that on November 20, 2011, Rachel’s water broke at just 24 weeks and 5 days into her pregnancy — far earlier than her expected due date of March 6.
The three babies were delivered one after another. Max weighed just 0.56 kg, while Lucas and Harvey each weighed around 0.62 kg at birth.
All three newborns were immediately transferred to intensive care, where they faced a long and difficult fight for survival. During their time in the neonatal unit, they received a total of 12 blood transfusions, and Max also underwent surgery on his stomach.

After months of dedicated medical care, the triplets finally grew strong enough to go home. By then, each baby weighed between 2 and 2.5 kg and was in stable condition.
Rachel expressed her gratitude and amazement at their survival. “We don’t mind when our babies cry because it’s incredible that they’re still here,” she said. “Everyone at the hospital says they can’t believe they were both premature and triplets. They may look tiny, but to me, they’re amazing. They’ve been through so much.””
