This retired US Air Force Maj. Gen. has been missing since February 28, and journalist Ross Coulthart calls McCasland’s disappearance a “grave national security crisis” because McCasland reportedly knows some of the United States’ most sensitive secrets, especially related to UFOs.

New York Post reports, during his Air Force career, McCasland led research at Wright‑Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, a base long rumored to hold pieces of alleged UFO debris from the Roswell, New Mexico incident.

Coulthart also points out that McCasland’s disappearance happened around the same time President Trump started talking more openly about what the US government knows about UFOs, and he says McCasland supported giving the public more information on these classified topics.

He repeats that the timing makes the case especially alarming, arguing that a man with such high‑level secrets “disappearing off the face of the earth” is extremely serious for national security.
