Couple Defy the Odds, Welcome Two Sets of Twins Born Exactly a Year Apart
A couple who were once told they could never have children have experienced an extraordinary blessing: two sets of twins, born exactly a year apart.
Alisha Young, 25, and her husband Connor Craster, 26, discovered Alisha was pregnant while she was in hospital for a hysterectomy. Doctors had advised that, due to severe endometriosis, she would be unable to conceive.

Yet naturally conceived twins Lottie and Hattie arrived on November 2, 2024 — just after Alisha was told she might never have children.
Remarkably, only weeks later, Alisha found out she was pregnant again. The second set of twins, Florence and William, was born exactly on their older sisters’ first birthday.
Scaffolder Connor said: “Basically, we’ve got quads. It was a shock, but such a massive relief — we really did want to have children.”
For Alisha, a children’s support worker from Seaton Carew, Hartlepool, the arrivals ended years of heartbreak caused by her endometriosis. The condition had been so severe that doctors recommended removing her womb, but a pre-surgery scan revealed she was pregnant.

Alisha said: “We’re so happy and feel incredibly blessed.”
Life with four little ones is intense. The couple manage on just five hours of sleep a night, ensuring all four children are fed, bathed, and in bed by 7:30 p.m.
Connor added: “I can’t really say when the day starts, because the last one just doesn’t end.”
The family now enjoys the joyful chaos of their quadruple blessing, grateful for the unexpected miracle that defied all medical predictions.
