Koa’s Fight for Life: A Heart Warrior’s Journey Filled with Courage, Strength, and the Healing Power of Laughter.

BORN WITH HALF A HEART — BUT FULL OF FIGHT
Koa entered the world carrying a condition most would never survive. Born with only half a functioning heart, his life began not with lullabies, but with warnings, machines, and uncertainty. Doctors told his family that every hour would matter. And they did.

Just days after birth, a critical procedure went wrong in a way no one expected. Oxygen levels dropped. Monitors screamed. In that moment, hope felt like it was slipping away. But Koa held on.
He endured surgery after surgery, including a major open-heart operation before his first birthday. His body, so small and fragile, faced challenges that would break even the strongest.

And yet, today, he laughs. He runs. He plays like any other child, as if his story isn’t written in hospital rooms and sleepless nights.
More surgeries are still ahead. The road is long, and the fight continues. But so does Koa’s spirit.
He wasn’t supposed to make it this far. But he did.
And he’s not done yet.
