Footage of an unidentified flying object (UFO) in the skies over the city of Curitiba, southern Brazil, is going viral on social media.According to Russia Today on August 2nd, the UFO video was filmed on July 21st and uploaded to YouTube by a user named Zona Desconhecida. The video shows a triangular flying object hovering over the city.

When the cameraman zoomed in, the object appeared to have a landing gear that resembled a chassis.

“I never believed in UFOs until I saw this. When I filmed this unidentified object, at first I thought it was a drone, but it didn’t have propellers. Then I thought it was a balloon, but its trajectory was straight and something that looked like a landing gear appeared,” the user wrote in the caption.

The user then uploaded a second video showing a clearer view of the flying object. It appeared transparent on both sides and seemed to change shape slightly as it flew.

The two videos received over 25,000 views on YouTube and were reposted on X (formerly Twitter), quickly going viral on other social media platforms.

Some internet users claimed the object was actually a large star-shaped balloon, explaining that the part resembling a landing gear was distorted by the camera angle.

However, others argue that the video quality is not good enough to make an accurate assessment.

According to local media, the Brazilian Air Force was unable to verify the footage. A spokesperson for the Brazilian Air Force said they had “several theories” but no “explanation” for seeing the object at this time.
