Tragic Loss of 6-Year-Old Mianna Roach

On March 24, 2025, 6-year-old Mianna Roach was abducted from her home by her father. According to her mother, he entered Mianna’s bedroom early that morning, brandishing a firearm, and took her against her will. Authorities were alerted shortly after, and a search quickly ensued.

About five hours later in Wadesboro, North Carolina, deputies located the father’s vehicle and initiated a high-speed pursuit. The chase ended when the vehicle lost control and crashed into a ditch. Inside the car, law enforcement found Mianna deceased from a gunshot wound; investigators believe she had been dead for several hours prior to the crash. The father was also found wounded by a self-inflicted gunshot and later died in the hospital.

Mianna is remembered by her family as a bright and joyful child who loved photography and spending time with her brothers. Her sudden loss has left a community grieving and mourning the life of a young girl taken far too soon.
